    The task of the „Forschungsgesellschaft Energie“ (FGE) is to promote research in the field of energy supply. The association deals with the technical challenges of the energy industry and enables the scientific investigation of the questions arising from energy generation, conversion, supply and utilization. In Addition, it promotes the collection and exchange of practical experiences of members and supports scientific education of young engineers.

    Approaching IAEW

    In the following you will find directions how to reach the Institute of Power Systems and Power Economics. For an enlarged presentation please click on the map.

    By car

    At the motorway junction Aachen take the motorway A4 towards Heerlen. Leave the motorway at the exit Aachen Laurensberg and turn right to Aachen Zentrum. Follow the course of road and keep in the direction of Aachen Zentrum. After about 2 km turn right at the crossroads to Pontwall. At the next crossroads turn left into Wüllnerstraße. After 200 m turn right again to get on the site of RWTH Aachen University. Keep right crossing the RWTH parking area. At the end of the area turn right and right again to enter Schinkelstraße. The Institute of Power Systems and Power Economics is located on the right hand side.

    By railway

    Take the train coming from Cologne to Aachen central station and change it in the direction of Düsseldorf. Get off the train at the station Aachen West and follow the Seffenter Weg. Then cross the road and follow Geschwister- Scholl-Straße to its end. Then turn left into Schinkelstraße. The Institute of Power Systems and Power Economics is located on the right hand side.

    By airplane

    The nearest airports are Düsseldorf, Cologne-Bonn and Aachen-Maastricht. After arrival use the above-mentioned descriptions.
